Africultures - Filipe Branquinho

Filipe M.C. Branquinho was born in 1977 in Maputo, Mozambique.

He works as a freelance photographer and illustrator. Hes graduating in Architecture by UEM (Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, Maputo / Mozambique) and attended the same course at UEL (Universidade Estadual de Londrina / Brazil).

His passion for the arts (including photography) was born in the environment they grew up in Maputo, the coexistence with the environment and many of the artistic masters and national benchmarks.

In Brazil the design and illustration appear systematically and consciously, through contact with the artistic disciplines together with architectural training. It is in this context that decides to try to photography as art.

He participated in several group and solo exhibitions in Brazil, Mozambique and South Africa has several works in private collections.
