ARCHIVE-HOUSE in the Gulbenkian Park
19 Jun 2015 – 27 Sep 2015
Gulbenkian Park (next to the entrance of the Art Library)
In this year's edition of the installation (a previous edition took the form of a tent), we have decided to build an archive-house using walls from previous Next Future exhibitions. These walls will be partially covered with pages from the Próximo Futuro / Next Future issues that have been published over the past seven years of debates, productions, creations, film screenings, parties, etc.
A way of remembering the hundreds of people who have been involved in this programme and of reliving moments of great emotion and physical intensity, it is also a reflection on the future, especially the future of the cultural and political territories that have been the raison d'etre of this programme. The project is designed by architect Jorge Lopes, who has been a regular collaborator with the programme since its inception.
